Patient Rights
Being a patient at Medical Fakeeh, you have the right to:
- To be treated with dignity, compassion and respect to your beliefs, cultural background without any discrimination.
- To receive skilled care by qualified professionals in a safe sanitary environment.
- To be treated with privacy, keeping your entire medical and non medical information confidential inconsistent with the facility and kingdom rules and regulations.
- To be met with special needs and the elderly patients in the center and provide needed health and treatment services to patient.
- To choose the preferred physician and to ask for a second opinion if needed as per facility regulations.
- To know the identity and professional status of your treating doctor and all staff involved in your care plan.
- To ask the doctor and all other healthcare providers to disinfect their hands and wear medical gloves during physical examination and performing procedures.
- Receive comprehensive explanation and information about your diagnosis, care plan, treatment and expected outcomes and to be given adequate chance to ask questions related to your medical condition before signing any consent form.
- Refusing to undergo certain text or intervention, or leaving the facility is on your own responsibility, subject to facility policy.
- To receive a printed copy of your medical prescription and to have all medication written using generic names.
- To receive a copy of laboratory and radiological studies, medical reports and sick leave notification upon request.
- To receive emergency treatment as decided by treating physician on time without any discrimination as to socioeconomic status and according to the policies and procedures of treatment eligibility of the facility.
- To be referred to other healthcare facility if medically needed as per facility regulation.
- To open the medical file without administrative fees.
- To receive estimated expenses of cash treatment, without a detailed bill about the delivered services and their cost.
- A follow-up visit free of charge within fourteen days of the initial visit for the same condition with the same specialty.
- To improve the quality of our services, would be happy to receive your comments, suggestion and any complaints.
Patient Responsibilities
In order to provide you the optimal care, we expect from you and your family to adhere to the following responsibilities:
- Providing complete and accurate information about the patient’s personal data, contact number, medical history, and list of medication that you are currently using to allow us to decide your best care plan.
- To strictly follow the treatment plan agreed with your doctor and to ask him to clarify any unclear points and to inform him in case you wish to discontinue the plan.
- Not to take any drug that has not been prescribed by your treating physician.
- To settle your bills or bring your company/insurance approval before leaving the facility.
- Treating all facility personnel; and patients with courtesy, and respect. To follow all the instructions and rules of the facility, and keeping appointment.
- To accept priority of care for patients with critical medical conditions.
- Respecting the privacy of others.
- NOTE: No photography is permitted at all facility areas without prior permission.
- Patient shall follow the facility safety instruction.
- Patient will be fully responsible for violating the rules and policies of the facility.
